I am a wife, mom, grandmom, and kindergarten teacher. I have a Masters in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University (MLIS 2018) and an Information Management Graduate Certificate (WSU 2019). I am working on my second Masters Degree (M.A.) in education. I have worked as an alternative certification, lower elementary school teacher with Detroit Public Schools Community District (2019 – 2021) and National Heritage Academies (8/2023 – present). I felt a desire to explore an advanced degree in the field of education so I applied and was accepted to Michigan State University. The program of study I am enrolled in is Master of Education (MAED). I am very interested in innovative technologies in the classroom for young learners. Aside from this, I like pizza, jalapeño (flavored) potato chips, gardening, crocheting, Astronomy, Science Fiction, and cute little kittens and puppies!
