Digital Lesson Planning

Standards, Accessibility, and Cybersecurity

Recent research has guided me in aligning my teaching and learning practices through the creation of a digital lesson plan. Common Core Standards, Accessibility, and Cybersecurity are the three areas of focus during my research.

Developing digital lesson plans for lower elementary school students means maintaining their privacy while keeping the lesson engaging and effective. Additionally, integrating new technology and teaching methods keeps lessons fresh and exciting. I focused on prioritizing student privacy as I conducted my research for the development of my digital lesson plan. I discovered how to use reputable sources and platforms. In addition, I learned how to protect students’ personal information and maintain a safe learning environment. Doing this helped to prevent access for distribution of disguised electronic attacks. These attacks not only acquire personal student information but also affect the time students spend in fake applications. They unintentionally engage their time and personal information with malicious programs and advertisements (Yousif Yaseen 2022).

Ensuring that digital lesson plans align with State common core teaching standards is crucial for fostering student success. Using research to guide and support these lesson plans ensures that they are evidence-based, relevant, and effective. Research provides insights into best practices, innovative teaching methods, and the latest educational technologies, which can enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. By aligning my creative assignments with my research, I design lessons that meet specific state standards, addressing the diverse needs of students and promoting consistent educational quality. My research on this matter concludes that “Educators have the opportunity to shape the standards toward a stronger inclusion of both digital and critical literacies” (Avila et al.,2012, p. 3).

This alignment not only prepares students for academic achievement but also equips them with essential skills for future success.
